COLORQUEST™

The branding system that
starts before strategy

ColorQuest™: THE BRANDING METHOD THAT GOES DEEPER THAN STRATEGY

An Open Symbols System

Let's get this straight:
ColorQuest™  has (almost) nothing to do with color theory or choosing your brand colors.

So what IS it?

ColorQuest™ uses open symbols—colors that don't define you, but reveal you.

This is how you create a brand presence that feels unmistakably YOU—alive, evolving, and impossible to copy.

✏️[SHOW THIS IN 3 COLUMNS]
ColorQuest is three things at once:

ColorQuest™ is three things at once:

  1. An emotional navigation system (tells you where you are)
  2. A creative catalyst (shows you what to make)
  3. A brand language generator (gives you imagery only you could create)

This is SelfMagic!

You will never see Color the same way again!

A quick note before we go deeper:

ColorQuest™ works differently than most systems you've encountered.

It doesn't use fixed archetypes (like goddesses, personality types, or Jung’s brand archetypes).

Instead, it uses open symbols—colors that become meaningful through YOUR engagement with them.

RED doesn't tell you what power means.
RED asks you: What does a vivid, fiery, eye-catching energy means for you, right now?

This is why ColorQuest™ requires practice to fully understand.
The system reveals itself as you work with it.

But don’t sweat it —I’ll show you how it works first, then invite you to try it. Yoohoo!

The Three Maps Of ColorQuest

ColorQuest™ has three signature diagrams.
Each one shows you a different layer of how you create, express, and are seen.

✏️[Add a slide? with all 3 diagrams? ] or, one image. Animated?

[INFOGRAPHIC 1: The Origin Diagram]

Map 1: Where It All Begins

At the heart of ColorQuest™ are three sacred colors: White, Red, and Black.

White → the blank canvas, infinite possibility
Red → life force, emergence, declaration
Black → form, boundary, authorship

From these three, the system expands:

White + Black → Gray (witnessing, raw reality)
Red + White → Pink (play, relational openness)
Red + Black → Darkest Red (vulnerability, magnetic truth)
And at the center: Your Favorite Color → personal desire, signature expression

ColorQuest™didn't emerge from color theory or branding strategy. It emerged from years working in the studio.

Mixing gouache pigments:
2 shloufs of Cadmium yellow, half a squeeze of Cadmium red, 2 brushes magenta, a dot of white.

Observing how creative cycles unfold:
What goes on in the brainstorming phase?
Why do I always get stuck when I'm about to wrap the project up??

Noticing the patterns between what I was making and who I was at the end of the creation.

ColorQuest
™ is wisdom found in the studio, translated into a flexible map you can follow.

[INFOGRAPHIC 2: The 6+1 Color Wheel]

Map 2: Your Creative & Identity Map

This is the full system in action. This diagram shows how your inner state becomes outer presence.

✏️[How else can i show this? full width stripes?]

The 6+1 Color Cycle:

⭕️ Gray (WITNESS) → Come as you are, observe yourself
⚪️ White (OPEN) → Invite possibilities
⭕️ Pink (PLAY) → Explore joy
🔴 Red (CLAIM) → Stand in power
⭕️ Darkest Red (REVEAL) → Wear vulnerability
⚫️ Black (OWN) → Embody authorship
⭕️ +1 Favorite → Your signature celebration (You choose it. You own it.)

(These aren't your brand colors—they're symbolic colors you work WITH. Your actual brand colors emerge from the images and insights you create through this process. Your Favorite Color—the one you choose—becomes your signature.)

These aren't steps. They're phases.

You can follow the sequence, work with polarities (RED + GRAY), pick a random one, revisit PINK, or go all in on Your Favorite color.

This isn't about "having" a color. It's about working with one.
And it works on you.

Here's what "working a color" looks like:

🔘You choose a color (or it chooses you—the one you're craving, or avoiding, or the one you’re assigned with and have two to with it).
🔘You ask yourself: What does this color mean for me right now?
🔘You create something with it—a self-portrait, a photo, a piece of writing, even three words.
🔘You notice what theme it reveals.

The color stays the same.
What it shows you changes based on where YOU are.

This is why ColorQuest uses open symbols, not fixed archetypes.
Black isn't "the shadow work goddess."
Black is whatever authorship, realization, homecoming, or boundary-setting means for YOU right now.

For one person: shipping da thing!
For another: quiet power (and tons of secrets!)
For another: the authority to rest.

ColorQuest™ isn't a palette—it's a way to see yourself differently.

[INFOGRAPHIC 3: The Split Circle Diagram]

Map 3: The Dual Discovery

Two circles. Two journeys. Same destination.

✏️[Show the graphic in a merge - elements appearing with delay]

Circle A (Self-Discovery):
YOUR journey—moving from GRAY "come as you are" inward to your core, your chosen mark.
This is what you discover about yourself.

Circle B (Brand-Discovery):
YOUR AUDIENCE'S journey—moving from first impression (your brand identity marks) inward to your authentic core.
This is what they discover about you as they get to know, like, and trust you.

This is the yin-yang of visibility.

You discover yourself moving inward toward your authentic desires.
Your audience discovers you moving inward, getting to know the real you.

When these two circles fuse?
That's your authentic self being recognized and known.

That's SelfMagic.

HOW IT WORKS FOR BRANDING

Most branding starts with strategy: Who's your audience? What's your message?

ColorQuest starts somewhere else: Where are you right now?

When your brand presence is rooted in YOUR actual creative state:

✨ You enjoyed the process and actually like your images. No more nitpicking yourself.

✨ They reveal insights you didn't know you had—mirrors, not masks.

✨ They express your energy without forcing it—people feel YOU first.

✨ They make your message tangible before you have all the words (ah! welcome to the club!)

✏️[SHOW THIS IN 3 COLUMNS] ColorQuest treats color as inquiry:

ColorQuest treats color as inquiry:

⭕️ What color are you avoiding? → Resistance (valuable intel)

⭕️ What color are you craving? → Desire (your brand wants to go there)

⭕️ What color feels like home? → Your signature

You're not curating-decorating your brand. You're discovering it!

This is how you summon your aliveness.

EACH COLOR HAS MANY FACES

✏️Can I add here a few portraits that show very different vibe? Black?

Red isn't just power. It's also anger. Full bloom. Directness.
Pink isn't just playfulness. It's also softness. Rebellion. First drafts.

The color stays the same; what it reveals changes based on where YOU are.

This is why you can work Pink three times and discover something new each time.

ColorQuest meets you exactly where you are—and gives you precisely what you need.

YOUR BRAND EVOLUTION

Your brand isn't static. You evolve.

Early in your business? Gray and White—observing, opening, inviting.

Ready to claim your space? Red—bold, unapologetic, powerful.

Going through a transition? Darkest Red (revealing what's changing) into Black (owning the new version).

Celebrating? Your Favorite Color becomes the centerpiece.

For your clients:

They arrive for the aesthetic (Outer Circle).
They stay because they feel the aliveness underneath it (Core of Circle).

They recognize YOU in flux, and in full range.

And most of all?

They believe you.

Not that single, amazing shot that has been recycled for the last 7 years, giving you value for your buck. And definitely not the Ai portrait that took less than a minute to generate, cost you nada, and left you (secretly) thinking: “Damn! I wish I felt like this shot looks!”

When your images are believable, you can use those from yesterday, last month, or a decade ago.

You're not showing before-and-after.
You're celebrating All of you–and it’s only up to you what you share 😉

ColorQuest gives you a fluid visual system that holds your contradictions, your seasons, your edges, your shapeshifting.

You're not one color. You're the whole cycle.

WHAT IT'S NOT

ColorQuest is NOT a personality quiz, palette generator, or fixed "brand aesthetic."

ColorQuest is a practice-based system using open symbols.

You work a color. You see what it reveals.
Always different. Always on brand.

WHO IT'S FOR

The brands that feel most alive aren't copied. They're discovered.

ColorQuest is the path for people who think visually, feel through color, and need to SEE themselves before they can speak themselves.

If you've struggled to describe what you do—but knew you could SHOW it—this is your method.

If you're in transition—between versions of yourself, your work, your brand—ColorQuest navigates the in-between.

If you know you're way more than you currently show—ColorQuest reveals what's been hidden, without starting over.

This isn't just for people starting out.
It's for anyone who's outgrown their current brand skin.

Want To Experience ColorQuest Right Now?

Here's a 5-minute practice:

Choose three colors from the cycle: White, Red, and Black (the ancestral triad).

For each color, come up with ONE WORD that the color evokes for you right now.

Not what you think it "should" mean. What it actually reveals.

Your three words become a custom map of where you are right now.

Someone might get: Empty, Rose, Sexy
Someone else might get: Quiet, Rage, Elegant
Another: Spacious, Alive, Grounded

Same three colors. Completely different revelations.

This is how open symbols work.
The color doesn't define you. It reveals you.

This work IS really self- celebration for me. It's bringing a bit of magic and fun into how I see my business. It helps me approach my offerings and presentation in a way that is not straight on. It's like poking it from the side and what is inspired by it is fresh and comes about in new ways.

Emily Ellen Anderson - Art Coach

“Monicka is not like anyone else, and neither is her instruction.
She has a blend of very practical photography information, and then she takes it and deconstructs it and makes it fun and surprising and unfamiliar. Not everyone has that underpinning philosophy of the self and kind of the deep art theory that she brings in.”
