3.Pleasure in Visibility

The Missing Link
to Showing Up

EXPERIENCE

Visibility isn't a task. It's a turn-on.

Most people treat visibility like a to-do list:

✔️ Smile in the grid
✔️ Schedule the next shoot…

But here's the thing: Visibility is less about doing and more about feeling.

👉 The Missing Link in Your Branding Journey?

Learning how to enjoy being seen.

And when it feels good—not only because it serves your biz, but because it actually turns you on—it becomes magnetic.

YOU'RE NOT SO VAIN

Let's get something straight: Being seen is NOT about being narcissistic.

You are not "too much" for wanting to be seen. You are not vain. You are human.

We are wired to be witnessed. It's how we share ourselves and bond. Build trust, and expand into new versions of ourselves.

And this—

You don't know how you want to be seen until you've been seen that way.

That's why visibility is not just exposure, page views, or gaming an algorithm. It starts with your image—seeing yourself clearly and truthfully.

And no, this isn't just about selfies. This is about image-led self-discovery that reshapes:

☑️ How you SEE yourself
☑️ How you DESIRE to be seen
☑️ How you ENJOY being seen
☑️ And eventually… how OTHERS see you

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BEING SEEN

Let's name a few truths:

  • Your face is the #1 visual that represents your brand
  • You are the highest authority on how you should be represented
  • Beauty isn't shallow. It's identity-driven
  • Every glance in the mirror is a reconciliation—with your evolving image, your age, your self
  • Most women avoid being seen because it feels exposing, but hiding is also hiding from yourself

And here's the nuance:

  • Healing your self-image is never "done." It's a ritual of ongoing acceptance and renewal
  • Showing up bare-faced (Thank you, Pamela!) is as self-claiming as slaying it in a power suit after a team of stylists worked their magic

And here's what most people miss:

Visibility is relational.

It's not just YOU being seen. It's the EXCHANGE between you and the person witnessing you.

When you're truly present—when you're enjoying being seen—the audience feels it. They lean in. They connect. They remember you.

That's the sensuality of being witnessed: it's a dance, not a display.

VISIBILITY WOBBLES WE ALL KNOW

  • Visibility Yo-Yo: You hide out, but secretly want to stand out
  • Your Image Leads the Way: You dress as the future self you're stepping into, wondering when you have to return the costume…
  • The Inner Glow-Up: You've transformed internally big time… but your image hasn't caught up yet
  • Downplaying Visibility: "My work should speak for itself." Yes, it does. And so does your image

THE UNDERRATED SKILL

This is the part most people miss.

While visibility is a business strategy, being seen—and reveling in it—is an underrated business skill.

It establishes leadership. It attracts aligned clients.

And yet… no one teaches us how to enjoy being seen.

#TheMagic

And this I know:

Even outside of business, these same dynamics are at play. My first taste of true visibility had nothing to do with branding—but it taught me everything about what real presence—and all eyes on you—feels like.

MY MOMENT

So.

The first time I discovered the pleasure of being seen, there was no camera, no selfies, and no "on-brand" necessity.

It was my very first karaoke night.

The old movie theater had an unusually large stage. The friend's friend birthday party was packed with people from the entertainment industry. These were professional performers. So, naturally, they were not eager to do karaoke.

But me? Not an actress. Not a model. Definitely not a singer.

I stepped up.

And to everyone's surprise—especially my own—I nailed it.

Not because my voice was "discovered," but because of how I moved: playfully, freely, totally uninhibited. I was having the time of my life.

It wasn't polished, to say the least!
It wasn't planned.

But it was O.M.G bang!

Looking back, I realize now that this was a kind of rite of passage. An initiation into a part of myself I hadn't met before.

Growing up I would hear: "You want attention, don't you?"—always as a criticism. A warning not to enjoy that kind, or any kind, of eyes on me or spotlight.

But that night, something snuck through.

It was as if the experience smuggled in something hidden: A glimpse of my boldest ever self—fully seen, fully alive.

At the time, I didn't have words for it. I wasn't thinking about "visibility" or "personal branding."

All I knew was:

🔥 This felt different
🔥 This felt good
🔥 This felt a 100% YES

It showed me a freedom and ability I had never tasted before.

That night, I wasn't trying to be magnetic. But I was.

Because aliveness IS magnetic.

When you're genuinely enjoying yourself—when you're fully present and lit up from the inside—people. can't. look. away.

That's expressive magnetism: visibility that comes from joy, not performance.

And that's the magic I want you to know:

The real pleasure in visibility isn't about the perfect pose, or the perfect anything.

It's about stepping into the full, electric aliveness of being witnessed—and finding out who you are on the other side of it.

FIND THE PLEASURE

You don't need to be a style influencer throwing clothes at a camera, or dance around on TikTok to unlock pleasure in visibility.

But you do need to give yourself permission to play.

And here's the question most women have never asked themselves:

👉 HOW do you like to be seen?

Playful? Fierce? Elegant? Raw? Mysterious? Bold?

You've been so busy trying to be "professional" or "appropriate" or "brand-safe" that you've never explored:

What kind of visibility actually feels GOOD to me?

That's where the pleasure lives. In the specificity. In the permission to have preferences. And you can be as picky as with your food about it!

When you find the pleasure, you also get:

  • Confidence: You feel at ease in your skin—on camera, on stage, anywhere
  • Creative Play: You become the muse, the artist, and the art
  • Empowerment: You dare to be fully seen—flaws, glory, wrinkles, everything
  • Self-Reflection: You deepen your relationship with yourself every time you show up

And let's not forget: This is sacred work.

Pleasure in visibility is about reclaiming your wholeness, loving what you see, and letting it shine.

AND HERE'S WHY THIS MATTERS FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Pleasure isn't just nice to have. It's what makes visibility sustainable.

You can force yourself to post for a while. You can white-knuckle through video. You can perform visibility out of obligation.

But if it doesn't feel GOOD? You'll quit.

The women who sustain visibility—who show up consistently, who build magnetic brands—aren't doing it through discipline alone.

They've found the pleasure.

And that pleasure fuels everything.

Visibility isn't a chore for the sake of your business.

It's an invitation—to yourself, and to the world.

The question is: are you ready to enjoy it?

When pleasure returns, so does power.

“At the beginning I’d look at my amazing Self-Magic pics and go “WHO is this woman?” Now when I look at my pics: “I know this woman! This is Me!””
